Facade Improvement Grant Program Project on Orange Street

Doctor John Cianciolo, native of New Haven who started a private practice in 1990, comes from a long family history of chiropractic care in New Haven, stemming from his father’s 50 year practice on Whitney Avenue. Cianciolo has been a selfemployed chiropractor now for 16 years in New Haven. Over the past 12 years I was renting space at 199 Whitney Avenue. Recently, he formed Cianciolo Properties

LLC, which purchased the property located on 500 Orange Street.

“With help from the City of New Haven Economic Development Facade Program and the Tax Deferral Program owning,” Cianciolo comments, “renovating and occupying

this building was made possible.” Now the building that formerly housed DeRosa’s Market has been completely renovated into a 1600 square ft. modern ADA compliant chiropractic office with five treatment rooms, large business office, 11 off street parking spaces, five car garage and a 2nd floor spacious 3-4 bedroom apartment.

The City’s Façade Improvement Grant Program made a $62,533.66 investment into a project budget over $200,000.00.
